Walnut Hill Properties is a property management corporation owned by Tufts University which maintains a portfolio of 90 properties available for full-time faculty, post docs, fellows, staff and graduate students to lease. All of the rental properties are located in Medford or Somerville and are walking distance to the Medford campus.

The current posted rental listings are leased by the bedroom and applications are ONLY accepted from full-time first year Tufts graduate students who are pursuing a master's degree and have paid the enrollment deposit.  Please note, we do not offer housing to students seeking PhD or Doctorate degrees. 

Outline of the graduate student housing program:

• Individual lease per resident
• 11-month lease August through July
• Heat, gas and electricity included
• Furnished common area and bedrooms
• No security deposit or guarantor required
• Walking distance to the Medford campus

Click on the Rentals tab to review the details of the units/bedrooms. Price listed is per bedroom, single occupancy only. Common area spaces such as kitchen, living room and bathrooms are shared.  There are no private bathrooms. 

Please note, the units are designated Female only, Male only or Mixed gender. Choose the correct unit type to ensure that your application is not delayed.

These bedrooms are in high demand. Once you are sent an electronic lease, you will only have 72 hours to sign the lease and to submit the first and last months rental payments.
